Situation

Insurer for the industrial sector

HDI Global Nederland is an insurance company focusing on commercial insurance in the industrial sector. It offers businesses insurance products and services and risk management solutions. HDI strives for continuous improvement and efficiency in its business processes to increase customer satisfaction and remain competitive.

HDI sees the insurance industry becoming increasingly complex and therefore wants to optimise its processes to serve clients as well as possible. The goal: to map, standardise and implement all business processes in a structured way. Without that approach, there is a risk of losing operational coherence and efficiency.

Approach

From process map to BIC tool

  1. Visualisation in MiroStudent Consultant started with a detailed visualisation of the existing business processes in Miro, using a collaborative approach.
  2. Validation with usersIn facilitated sessions with users, the process representation was validated and refined, so that it accurately reflects HDI's operational reality.
  3. Principles and bottlenecksConcrete principles were then drawn up, centred on efficiency and uniformity across different lines of business. Bottlenecks and risks were identified and again validated and discussed with stakeholders.
  4. Implementation in BICImplementation phaseWith the validated process map as a guide, all optimised processes were transferred to the BIC tool in an orderly way and the process documentation was reorganised. Employees were guided in using the renewed processes efficiently.
