Our project portfolio spans a wide range of sectors and services, with challenging projects. The coaching is provided by our experienced internal coaches. They have the right experience, knowledge and skills to guide our student consultants through their project, and are matched to projects where they best fit what the project requires.
This makes Student Consultant unique compared with other student consulting firms. Our way of coaching promotes the performance, growth and development of our student consultants without actually taking over their tasks. We adapt the style and amount of coaching to the level of the student consultant. This allows us to work in a client-focused way and optimise client value.

Before a challenging project is assigned to a student consultant, the Quality Team carries out a feasibility check. This lets us verify whether the goals and the step-by-step plan set out in the project proposal are achievable within the estimated hours and with the skills and experience of the available student consultants.
Quality starts with the development of our consultants. What they learn in trainings, they apply directly in their projects: structuring problems, analysing data, communicating effectively with stakeholders and presenting convincingly. Meanwhile, they are continuously guided by experienced consultants and experts.
Every new consultant starts with the core trainings on our mission, vision, way of working, processes and tools, and on client approach, project management and collaboration. This way they contribute effectively from day one.
Trainings by Student Consultant itself, so everyone works according to the same methods and quality standards. From sales trainings to practical skills, such as structuring analyses and presentations and building strong PowerPoints.
Experts from outside the organisation deepen our consultants' subject knowledge, with trainings from organisations such as Capgemini and Baker Tilly.
Our consultants also give trainings themselves, at Rotterdam Consulting Club, FSR, SEFA, JINC and during the Erasmus Recruitment Days, among others, from application and case interview trainings to sales trainings.

Chief of Quality
Kenny joined as Chief of Quality in May 2023 and has ultimate responsibility for the quality of our projects. With a background in Industrial Engineering and Innovation Management at Eindhoven University of Technology, experience at Accenture and earlier project experience as a student consultant, he brings strong quality in both content and process.
Customer Excellence Specialist
Mika has been with Student Consultant since February 2023. He started as a student consultant during his studies in Nijmegen and moved up to Customer Excellence Specialist in February 2026. With a bachelor's and master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, he mainly helps on projects where AI, data and smart process improvement come together.
Customer Excellence Specialist
Sjoerd has strengthened our team since 2021. He previously worked as Consultant and Marketing Manager and then moved up to Customer Excellence Specialist. With experience from 16 successfully completed projects, he knows exactly what guidance student consultants need to deliver strong results independently.
Customer Excellence Specialist & Consultant
Amber started as a Consultant in April 2024 alongside her studies in International Business Administration at Radboud University. After her bachelor's, she continued her development with the master's in Strategic Management at Tilburg University. Within the Quality Team, she focuses on process management, optimisation and strengthening project quality.
