Different perspectives at one table

Student Consultant brings executives and decision-makers together around one question. We facilitate the conversation; the insights come from the table.

Open exchange. Concrete insights.

Stijn de Bruijn, Managing Director, announces the first edition at restaurant Fico in Utrecht (in Dutch, with Dutch subtitles).

One question, one table

A round table is a closed-door conversation with a select group of six to ten executives, directors and senior managers around one question, combined with private dining. Each edition has its own theme and its own group.

  • Expertise

Executives and directors with in-depth knowledge of the question, from different organisations.

  • Experience

Practical examples, lessons learned and best practices on the trade-offs you make every day.

  • Perspective

An open, confidential conversation with peers facing similar dilemmas.

We give the conversation direction

As facilitator, we provide a sharp question, a well-guided conversation and a summary you can act on.

  1. Beforehand, sharpening the question

We summarise the theme in a one-pager with the situation, complication, main question and sub-questions. In a short questionnaire, participants share their own challenges beforehand, so the conversation reflects practice. We only share answers at group level.

  2. During the evening, giving direction

We lead the conversation, ask sharp questions and bring in practical insights. The conversation is confidential; we only take photos at the reception, never during the discussion.

  3. Afterwards, capturing the insights

Within two working days of the evening, every participant receives a summary of the key insights from the table, so you take concrete pointers back to your own organisation.

  • Bringing peers together

Executives often face similar dilemmas, but rarely discuss them openly. At the table, you test your own challenges and take new perspectives home.

  • Learning from practice

We are a consultancy built around developing the leaders of the future. The questions executives face help our student consultants understand practice better.

  • Facilitating, not selling

The evening is about the conversation between participants. We provide the structure, the questions and the summary; the insights come from the table.

Each edition its own question

  • First edition

Getting a grip on the change portfolio

How can public and social organisations get a grip on their growing change portfolio, so that scarce resources go to the initiatives with the greatest social value?
