How does Student Consultant guarantee the quality of its work?

Student consultants are supported behind the scenes by experienced consultants. Weekly coaching sessions keep them on track, without requiring any capacity from clients.

What is the hourly rate of a student consultant?

Our rates are in the brochure, together with examples of projects per service. Download the brochure

What is the difference between consultancy and consultancy as a service (CaaS)?

In a consultancy project, the student consultants work fully independently, from planning to execution. Consultancy as a service offers flexible support on demand, with consultants carrying out specific tasks to free up capacity.

What does working with Student Consultant look like?

We start with a no-obligation intake to get a clear picture of the challenge. We then draw up a proposal setting out objectives, approach and planning. During the project we work closely with the client, and we conclude with concrete results, recommendations and/or implementation.

What exactly does a consultancy firm do?

A consultancy firm advises organisations on strategic, operational or organisational issues. We help companies analyse challenges, develop solutions and implement improvements that lead to measurable results.

Can you also help implement the advice?

Yes, we offer both advisory and implementation support. Our consultants can work within your organisation to guide and implement the change.

For students

What is consultancy?

Consultancy means that a consultant supports organisations with expert advice and practical improvements. This can concern strategy, processes or specific challenges within a company or institution.

Do you get paid as a student consultant?

As a student consultant, you receive a fee of between €14.50 and €22.35 per hour, depending on your study progress and experience. Besides this financial reward, consultancy also gives you valuable practical experience, a professional network and personal development.

How many hours a week does a student consultant work?

Student Consultant takes a flexible approach for its student consultants. You do not need to be available 40 hours a week. We work with an average of 20 hours a week. You can often decide for yourself exactly when you work.

What are the requirements to start as a student consultant?

To start as a student consultant, you need to be proficient in Dutch and available 20 hours a week. You also need to have obtained at least 60 ECTS at university level, or have started your pre-master's programme.

Where do you work as a student consultant?

Where you work as a student consultant can vary. In general there are three options: at one of our offices in Tilburg, Amsterdam or Nijmegen, at the client's office, or comfortably at home, at university or in a café.

What does a project look like as a student consultant?

As a student consultant, you do not work on an internship assignment. You take part in real consultancy projects at leading companies in the Netherlands. That means you make an impact from day one and gain work experience that immediately strengthens your CV. But how does such a project actually work?

What kind of assignments can you expect?

Many students wonder: what kind of assignments can I actually expect when I work as a student consultant? The answer: very varied ones. At Student Consultant, you always work on real consultancy projects at organisations across a wide range of industries. That means you contribute to concrete solutions and add value from day one. Projects are often assigned based on your academic background and knowledge.
